I’ve learned a lot from you. For one thing, your patience and acceptance of people has taught me to try and do the same with others. You have a lot of different views and ways of seeing things that intrigue me. Conversation with you is never boring, and even when we don’t talk, I don’t feel that it is necessary all the time. Some people might feel the need to talk every second, but you seem to appreciate silences like I do. You really make me feel appreciated and cared for, like you accept who I am, even with my mental and physical flaws; I feel the same way about you. I’ve never known anyone like you and I hope we’re together for a long time.
You need to stop focusing on past events and stop letting them influence your experiences. You need to let people know how you feel, instead of bottling up your emotions. Stop holding on to people who are only harming you mentally, and stop trying to ‘win them back.’ Stop trying to be such a people pleaser, you can’t have everyone liking you- so learn to be yourself. Look at the negative experiences as something to learn from, and realize that you will live through hardships.
“I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority.”—E.B. White (via orcrist)
