26: Something you are working on right now
I’m working on revising two paintings for my thesis portfolio. By ‘revise’ I mean start from scratch all over again….
42: What do you want to be when you “get older?”
This one’s easy for me, I’d love to be a professional illustrator, ideally for children’s books. If I can’t illustrate for books for a couple of years, I would be happy with other illustrative work, like designing cards and illustrations for packaging, magazines, etc.
When I’m much older I’ll probably be a crazy cat lady.
87: What are four things you can’t live without and why?
Art (of all kinds), travel, friends, family.
88: Which mythological creature are you most like? Why?
This is a difficult question….but I’d probably be a dryad, since they were said to be shy creatures, and I’m a very shy person. Also, they live in forests and I really feel a connection with nature, to trees in particular.
103: Where would you want to go on your dream vacation?
Somewhere in Europe! For some reason Poland or Estonia catches my attention.
107: Do you prefer to be friends with girls or boys?
I don’t have a preference, each have qualities I like and dislike….so I can’t really choose one over the other. I love all my friends :]
127: What is the first thing you noticed in someone?
I assume ‘someone’ refers to my bf because this question is filed under the ‘relationship’ questions. Anyways, the first thing I noticed about him upon talking to him was how the way he thinks; he seemed to have an interest in experiencing and questioning different things in life- it really intrigued me.
154: What’s something sweet you’d like someone to do for you?
I’m happy with walking through a forest with someone for the day. I don’t ask for much hah.
186: Share a song that takes you to a certain memory in the past:
Elévation by Alcest reminds me of this past summer. It’s not really tied to a specific memory, more a collection of them in the summer. I was probably the happiest I’ve been in a while that summer.
195: If you could be any character, from any literary work, who would you choose to be?
I’d be Mary Lennox from The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett.I’ve loved this book since I was a child. Anyways, I’d like to be her because not only does she help someone in need, she gets to go on adventures and has her own secret hideaway surrounded by nature. Plus, she has a robin as a friend, cute ^^
236: Share the story of something that makes you smile:
The weekend of my 22nd birthday, I went away to Montreal for Messe Des Morts and met some friends I had been waiting to meet (you know who you are hah), as well as seeing others from Toronto (you also know who you are). My bf was also there, so I was surrounded by people I love and appreciate. Also, let’s not forget the music! It was a good weekend all in all.
