Well no more Maryland Deathfest for me. Finding a job has been much more difficult then I thought it would be (been looking since January, 3 job interviews later, nothing- I should note, it took me until March to be called in for an interview). Infuriating as it is, I can’t give up.
Sucks but at least I had the opportunity to go for the past two years….and there’s always next year too!

Leaving for mdf tonight
I was kind of having some last minute thoughts about not going, but I’m going to make myself go.
The music will distract me from my nervousness…..Neurosis, Inquisition, Hooded Menace, Kylesa, Dead Congregation, here I come :D
Ideally, I must be front row for Neurosis and Inquisition, even if it means waiting an hour or two by the stage like I did for Gorguts last year (it paid off, I was in the 2nd row haha).
I’m also looking forward to discovering some new music too.
Also, for anyone who is going, if you happen to see me there, say hello! I don’t bite :P

My wall of art! I finally got a chance to hang up some things. On my wall, I have pieces by Clare Victor Dwiggins, Aubrey Beardsley, David D’Andrea, Alena Skarina, some artists from the Parkdale Bazaar and Toronto Outdoor Art Festival, Tomio Nitto, one of my own illustrations (the beardcore one), a poster from MDF last year, art by Mike Parsons, an image from Man With A Movie Camera, an engraving I got from a book of an old map of London, a painting by Derek (captaindwreck) and a drawing by Andrew (cityofluciddreams).
Now I have a space where I can work and be inspired. You can also see a part of my messy desk and some wind chimes I got from the Dominican Republic in these photos :P
I’m looking for more art to hang up, so if you have anything you’d like to contribute, please tell me! I’d love to have it up on my wall :D

Most of you who read my postings and stuff will probably not like this as it’s death metal, but I’m floored. These kids perfectly mix Autopsy, Asphyx, old punk parts and even a lil’ Bolt Thrower. Cannot wait to see them in a few weeks time! Highly recommended.
